Mr. Gillespie is well known nationally as a leader in developing, acquiring, capitalizing, operating, and disposing of commercial real estate properties, with a primary emphasis on multi-family investments. Culminating in his serving as an equity partner and Chief Investment Officer, as well as the Managing Director of Acquisitions and Dispositions for two prominent California based nationally focused real estate investors and operators, who were among the most active and prolific real estate investors in the country during his tenure. Leading the coordination and execution of each firm's acquisition strategy, as the point person in each firm's investment committees.

From 1992 to 2015, Mr. Gillespie has been principally involved in commercial real estate transactions totaling in excess of $800 million dollars, representing over 12 million square feet of commercial property investments, as well as multi-family properties totaling over 20,000 apartment units. In addition, Mr. Gillespie has served as a lead or co-lead in each firm’s various fund-raising committees, capitalizing a wide range of commercial real estate acquisitions and investment objectives. Those efforts harvested investment equity in excess of $200 million dollars. Spanning a cross section of institutional financial partners, including domestic and global institutions, university endowments, joint venture funds, high net worth family funds, and individuals investors.
